Red Level School student Raley Beth Maddox and her dog Goose participated in a performance debut at the competition September. 23-24 at the Agility the Paws Training Centre located in Mossy Head, Florida.

This was the very first race that qualified for both Raley 12, and Goose who is 14 months old.

Maddox’s mother Dawn Kelley said the two have a bright future in the coming years.

“They were a bit nervous on Saturday, but pulled themselves together on Sunday and finished with an Novice Qualifying race as well as fifth position. They are a young team and have plenty of room to develop. We’re all eager to see their progress and learn as a group,” Kelley said. “I’m very happy for these two kids for obtaining their first Q and their first ever Performance Q this morning. They’re growing up with my experience,” Raley’s mother Darshana Maddox said.
