Anniston, AL – As February unfolds, the Anniston Museums and Gardens cordially invites the community to the 44th annual Heritage Festival: Words that Lift the Soul! Taking place on Saturday, February 17, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Longleaf Event Center, this celebration promises a day filled with enriching activities and cultural appreciation.

Embracing the spirit of Black History Month, the Heritage Festival encourages community engagement and celebration. A highlight of the event is the Oration Competition, designed to inspire and uplift the youth of Anniston. Parents are invited to register their children from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 for this unique opportunity to develop public speaking skills and nurture their love for reading, writing, and poetry.

The registration process is simple. However, it’s essential to note that registration forms must be submitted by the end of the day on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
