Bowdon, GA – Saks girls’ soccer wins big at Bowdon. Jacksonville sweeps Etowah. Donoho’s Wallace commits to UAH.

 

 Saks’ girls opened the season with a 10-0 victory at Bowdon on Tuesday. The boys lost 2-0.

For the girls, freshman Layla Garcia scored the rare double hat trick with six goals, and Dana Garcia added two. The Wildcats also got a goal apiece from Heidy Campos and Kourtney Christian.

JACKSONVILLE BOYS 6, ETOWAH 0: Jacksonville’s Christian Garner accounted for two goals and an assist. The Golden Eagles also got a goal apiece from Landon Garner, Matias Goggins, John Rhodes-Davis and Colin Thurman.

JACKSONVILLE GIRLS 4, ETOWAH 0: Jacksonville’s girls got two goals and two assists from Sarah Sloughy and two goals from Willa Kate Walker.

WALLACE COMMITS: Donoho’s Anna Kate Wallace announced via social media her commitment to Alabama-Huntsville. Teammate Erin Turley has signed with UAH.
