My family and I are so excited for this one! Friday evening the Anniston Public Library is hosting Back to Hogwarts! Travel through a maze to retrieve gold at Gringotts, get a wand from Ollivander’s, attend a Charms class, plant something in Herbology, practice fighting Death Eaters in Defense Against the Dark Arts Class, attend a combined Divination and Potions class, play some Quidditch and more!

Saturday
If you are looking for where to be Saturday morning, the answer is with us! At Simmons Park in Oxford for Dog Dayz of August hosted by Succ it Up and Main Street Events. Bring your family and more importantly your furry friends! This is a day all about them! You’ll find Calhoun County Mom in the Kid Zone we are sponsoring that includes Bounce Houses from Jax Jumpin Parties, cotton candy from Flossy Mae’s, always our favorite- a pancake bar from Baby Cakes and so much more! Come play with us!

Cub Scout Pack 9, BSA Troop 5, and BSA Troop 9 are joining together to host a date of fun activities for the whole all ages. They will have games, crafts, a bounce house, a dunking booth, police, firefighters, games, camping and cooking demonstrations, food, and prizes. There is no cost to attend, but donations are welcomed. Check out at the details on the Family Fun Extravaganza starting at 10 am!

It’s Museum Day at Anniston Museum! Complimentary admission to AMNH and Berman Museum 10:00 am – 5:00 pm Activities 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Meet some animal ambassadors, explore the exhibit halls at Anniston Museum of Natural History and Berman Museum, and learn something new through various hands-on activities.

The City of Weaver is at it again! They will be concluding our series of summer events. This final event is free and family friendly. There will be a disc golf tournament with tons of prizes starting at 3:00pm. A special kids contest with prizes, a mini-food truck festival, and a movie showing at 8:00 pm of Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again

Saturday evening enjoy the Miss Oxford Volunteer Pageant at JSU McCellan Theater!

Run Baby Run is in year 10! As Alabama’s first Baby Friendly Hospital, RMC OB Services will be hosting our 10th annual 5k. We have a well-marked course with minimal turns and absolutely no traffic!! This is a stroller friendly course so bring the whole family!! Onsite registration will begin at 5:30pm on August 26th.

Sunday

If you didn’t get enough of us Saturday morning (and we know you didn’t) come visit us Sunday evening at Angel Cakes Creamery’s 1st birthday bash! It will be a day of giveaways, and celebration featuring a free bounce house and petting zoo! Vendors and face painting will also be on site!
