To make your weekend more memorable, we’ve created an array of exciting activities that are happening at Calhoun County. From fun activities and outdoor adventures to educational and creative exhibitions there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained. Friday
Nursing Moms: 10:30 am Central Lactation Consultants are hosting their monthly Breastfeeding Support Group at The Vine Chiropractic in Oxford. It is a chance for mothers can come together to support one another, while benefiting from the assistance of Kasey Bittle who is One the Central Alabama Lactation Services local certified lactation experts.
At 11am, the Anniston Public Library is hosting an Anniston Public Library Homeschool Computer Class at the Carver Branch.
at 12pm Oxford Public Library will have their biweekly Paint With Lexie collection. Don’t forget to bring your canvas!
Saturday
The first thing to go bright and early is 7am. is the daily Downtown Anniston Market ready with fresh, healthy produce to help you enjoy your Labor Day weekend!
At 7am, at 7am, the Square located in Jacksonville will be filled with fresh, farm-fresh products in The Jacksonville Farmers Market!
The Saturday morning at 8am is the time to go to Market on Main at Simmons Park in Oxford! There will be food and crafts vendors, and the play area for children.
Beginning at 1pm, Exploration Station will be back at Anniston Museum! Explore the galleries that make up Anniston Museum of Natural History. Anniston Museum of Natural History to meet one of our teachers as well as our Exploration Station. These stations offer hands-on materials as well as activities that will help you uncover new and exciting information about the world of nature! The program is included in museum admission, and is free for members.
