Anniston, AL – Donoho boys, girls come out on top in abbreviated Red Wilder tennis tournament. Oxford takes boys’, girls’ No. 1 singles

 

Donoho’s boys and girls came out on top in the de facto and abbreviated Calhoun County high school tennis tournament Saturday.

Donoho’s boys beat Oxford 19-2 in a two-team field, and the Falcons’ girls put up 38 points to beat Jacksonville (12) and Oxford (11).

Organizers initially announced there would be no Red Wilder Invitational, the normal de facto county championship, because there were not enough teams. Faith Christian, Jacksonville and Pleasant Valley did not field boys’ teams this year.

Organizers put together Saturday’s event, featuring two boys’ teams and three girls’ teams, at Anniston Country Club.

Donoho won all but the No. 1 singles divisions for boys and girls. What follows are division winners:
