Calhoun County, AL –New gardeners as well as seasoned gardeners are always seeking the best soil recipe! I am sharing my tried/true soil recipe since 1998 for all my raised beds, all my potted gardening, all my in ground gardening amendments. If you want a full range soil recipe here it is as follows : (Instructions) Use a wheelbarrow as your mixing bowl. Add Equal parts of : (a) organic bagged soil (brand is not important), (b) black Kow, (c) shredded bark chips, (d) sand. Add to the wheelbarrow mixture equal parts of your N-P-K (Nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) : blood meal (1 bag), bone meal (1 bag),  Epson salt (1 bag). Use a shovel to mix it. Now! You are ready to become 2024 Super Powers in Gardening! The blood meal powder is a four month application.
